SAUSAGE PATTIES
- 1 pound ground pork
- 2 tsp thyme,
- 2 tsp Rosemary
- 2 tsp Sage
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup honey
- 2 tbsp Sriracha
SANDWICH ASSEMBLY
- 6 eggs
- 6 slices cheese
- 6 English muffins
Instructions:
- I recommend making your sausages ahead of time. However, you are welcome to make them at the campground as well. Start by combining the ground pork 2 teaspoons of time, 2 teaspoons of rosemary, 2 teaspoons of sage, and 1 teaspoon of salt in a large bowl. Stir until thoroughly combined.
- Once all of the sausage ingredients are combined, form patties and set aside; from here, you can add the patties to a container and keep them in your cooler or freezer until you’re ready to use or prepare the rest of the ingredients and start cooking your sandwiches.
- You can also make the sauce ahead of time. Just combine the honey and Sriracha in a small bowl and set aside until you’re ready to serve. Keep this in a sealed container if you make it at a time.
- When you’re ready to start making your sandwiches, heat the griddle or skillet over your campfire or stove until hot.
- Add the sausage patties to the heated surface without foil and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until brown.
- In a separate skillet, cook your eggs as desired. I recommend over medium for perfect egg sandwiches.
- Lightly toast the English muffins grill, and then you’re ready to assemble.
- Start by adding the Sriracha honey sauce to the English muffins. Layer in a sausage patty, an egg, and a slice of cheese of your choice.
- Served with a side of Sriracha honey for dipping.
